Stacked Stone Panel Technical Information

As the Stacked Stone Panel is a Natural Product; variations in colour and texture are to be expected.

Each Panel is approximately 150mm high x 600mm wide. The thickness is between 15mm and 35mm. The weight is approximately 4kg per panel, and there are 11 panels per m2, 6 panels per carton, 36 cartons per crate, 1 crate is 19.44m2.

We at the Stacked Stone Company recommend Professional Installation carried out by Professional Trades People; however The Stacked Stone Panels can be installed by a competent person with some knowledge of building and construction.


The terms and conditions of sale only apply to products supplied by The Stacked Stone Company.

The “Seller” means The Stacked Stone Company whose registered office is ZClad Natural Stone Cladding Ltd, C/O 3a Market Place, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England, OX20 1SY. The “Buyer” means the person who accepts the sellers published advertisement, by the prescribed method, for the purchase of the goods or whose written or verbal order is accepted by the seller. The “goods” means the goods which the seller is to supply in accordance with these terms.


The Buyer acknowledges that Goods made from a natural Stone will vary in shading, colour and texture and samples are only to provide an indication of the general colour and quality. The Buyer acknowledges that such variance is acceptable.


All quotes are valid for 30 days. Please note that any verbal guide price we provide is not a definitive quotation. Due to almost daily variations in shipping costs only quotations confirmed in writing or by email marked “quotation” should be regarded as definitive. All prices  are subject to VAT at the current rate and do not include delivery costs. Delivery Charges vary depending on Postal Codes. The seller reserves the right to increase the price of goods at any time before full payment has been made for the goods. This increase will reflect any increase in cost that the seller has incurred due to factors beyond its control. (Such as, without limitation, increase in cost of materials, currency fluctuation, alteration of duty and any labour increases).


Please bear in mind that you loose some metreage due to cutting the Panels and Quartz to meet walls and corners. Please order the correct amount of Panels or Quartz Tiles that you need. Allow an additional 10% TO 15 % to the metreage for breakages and cuts. Stone is a natural material and has natural fault lines. Any "natural" breakage must be covered by your 15% contingency. Breakages are typically used for cuts. If you under order it is possible that subsequent products will differ from the ones you have previously ordered. You should allow up to 15% wastage factor when ordering. Where a high degree of variability is a feature of the stone we will often provide you with some additional tiles to help cover wastage. If in doubt send us a rough plan and dimensions and we can advise on coverage and wastage. It is better to slightly over order. If you have to order extra tiles to finish the installation you may find that they come from a different batch and variation in the colour of the stone may be even more pronounced.


All purchases require 100% payment with order, unless agreed and confirmed in writing by The Stacked Company. Goods remain the property of The Stacked Stone Company until payment is received in full. Payment will be made direct to The Stacked Stone Company, via bank transfer, cash, credit or debit card or cheque. (10 days clearance is needed for cheque payments) The seller retains ownership of the goods until the purchase price has been paid in full, whether the invoice is due (account holders only) until such payment the buyer shall, not dispose of by sale or otherwise the goods or any part of them. If the goods are sold to a third party, the buyer will hold the proceeds of that sale on trust for the seller pending payment. The seller may also require the buyer to direct the third party to pay the outstanding invoice directly. Delivery is quoted separately. You can put a deposit down on your order. We will then hold any product and price given at the time, for a period of up to 1 month. A deposit in law is deemed to be a binding contract and non-refundable whether a stocked item or special order. The remainder of monies due must be paid when a delivery date is arranged or special orders are ordered.


Once you have signed for the delivery you have signed for the goods as in "good condition" and "quantity correct". Any returns following delivery will incur a charge. It is the customer responsibility to check that the ordered quantity has been delivered. We cannot rectify shortages not reported at the point of delivery. It is not our responsibility to determine if the person taking delivery on your behalf is qualified to do so. We are not responsible to make up any shortages or damages discovered after a 3rd party incorrectly signing for goods “in good condition” and “quantity correct” on your behalf. We cannot be held responsible for the drop point or being instructed to place the goods in an unfit area. We cannot guarantee the time of delivery, it can be any time on the date given. However the delivery driver will attempt to provide an estimated time and will inform you of any delay.


Small orders (up to 17m2) are delivered by large van so it is important that you advise us of any access restrictions. The load is dropped at the driver’s discretion at the nearest safe place to your property. The delivery driver will assist where possible in unloading and placing the goods in a safe and secure area. The driver is only able to offer limited handling of goods into or through your property. The driver cannot handle goods up or down stairs and ladders or onto scaffolding. Please try to arrange for some assistance in offloading. If you are unable to arrange for assistance or are physically unable to unload, please advise us when you order and we can make arrangements to off load for you. Please note there may be a charge to cover additional labour of £40 per hour. Large Orders are delivered by Lorry or Truck with a haulage contractor. It is important that you advise us of any access restrictions. We use a pallet distribution company to deliver larger orders; they are only obliged to deliver the pallet(s) at the nearest safe point that is accessible to them. They are not obliged to handle the goods from the drop point. The load is dropped at the drivers’ discretion at the nearest safe place to your property. The driver cannot help with handling tiles into or through your property, up or down stairs and ladders or onto scaffolding. Please try to arrange for some assistance in offloading. The buyer shall inform the seller immediately if any of the goods have been damaged during haulage, or there is any shortfall in the order by noting this on the delivery note provided by the haulage contractor. The seller will only replace damaged tiles if the total amount is greater than 5% of the total order. Photographic evidence of any damage will be required to aid with any insurance claim against the haulage contractor. Collections are by appointment only and a suitable vehicle for the load size and weight must be used. Goods collected are transported at the owners’ risk.



Conditions of Sale

Your invoice indicates that our terms and conditions are posted on our website. By payment of that invoice you confirm that you have had sight of these terms and conditions and that you agree to them. Your statutory rights are not affected. Namely, under the Sale of Goods Act, 1979 as amended by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 a customer may be entitled to a refund where the goods sold are faulty, not as described or where the seller had no legal right to sell the goods. Any advice given by the seller or its employees regarding the application, storage or use of any goods is followed entirely at the buyer own risk and the seller shall not be liable for any problems that arise due to incorrect installation of any goods supplied. The seller retains the right to make any changes to clerical, typographical or any other error in any sales literature, price list, quotation, invoice or information issued by the seller and shall not liable in any way.


All Panels and Mosaic tiles will vary in colour, shade, veining, etc., from the pictures illustrated on the website or samples received. This is normal as each panel is unique in design, colour blend and texture. By signing for the goods, you are confirming that they are acceptable.

Installation by the customer

Installation is agreed to mean acceptance of the goods as fit for purpose, delivered as described on your invoice and undamaged. Under no circumstances can goods be exchanged, replaced or refunded once they have been installed. We do not install anything. We will introduce you to third parties who can install for you. We do not warrant their work and we accept no responsibility for it. We accept no responsibility (explicit or implied) for their work or conduct. You must confirm installation costs with the party undertaking the installation. We cannot be held responsible for any variation in installation cost. We suggest that you take up independent references for potential installers.


The seller will accept the cancellation of orders only if 48 hours notice has been given before scheduled delivery date. The buyer will incur any charges that may arise through packaging, delivery and the return of the goods to the seller’s premises. Special orders including, but not limited to custom orders or other non-standard items will not be subject to any cancellation and will result in the loss of any deposits or payments made. Updated June 8th 2011 - all transactions after this date are deemed to be bound by the terms above.


If you are not totally satisfied with your order for any reason, you have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days from date of delivery for full credit or refund less any applicable delivery charges. Please be aware that you will be fully responsible for the return of goods and any associated costs of return. We will only process refunds for goods received back complete and in a saleable condition. We operate a return/refund service for over ordered goods. We will refund any monies on full m² but cannot refund for single items. (For example: a single Panel.) Any orders returned to us which are not faulty or damaged will be subject to a 25% restocking fee which will be deducted from any refund due. A delivery collection charge will be made for this service. Specials or made to order items cannot be returned.
